Bio
Isabel grew up in Wisconsin, working on her grandfather's farm weeding and making salsa, which fueled her to obtain a degree in nutritional sciences and environmental studies at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. She came to Chicago to complete her education as a registered dietitian nutritionist and currently is the Operations Manager at Common Pantry, Chicago's oldest continually operating food pantry.
Isabel is incredibly passionate about environmental sustainability, food access and equity, and nutrition and saw Green City Market as a way to bridge those passions and also fulfill her need to be around local, fresh food in an urban environment. She can be found chronicling the quality of different hot chai's around the city, hiking or taking long walks wherever there's green space, or biking to Joong Boo for some tteokbokki.
